VICTORIA HAMILTON |
Dr Victoria Hamilton is an icon in the Australian Equestrian Community, with a wealth of experience as a veterinarian, coach, breeder and international dressage competitor. As one of Australia’s top dressage riders, her love of horses is contagious and apparent in everything she does.
Victoria has trained and competed throughout Australia and overseas, winning numerous State and National Championships. She won two Australian World Challenge Finals (with Ardito in 1998 and Asaachen in 2000), two Australian Dressage Leaderboard Titles (with Asaachen in 1998 and Kaduso in 2002) and was the runner-up in the World Final of the PSI/FEI World Dressage Challenge in Germany in 2001, which she says is the highlight of her competition career so far. She continues to breed, train and compete top-level dressage horses, with a team of young horses currently coming into the competition arena showing unlimited potential. |
Victoria toured Australia for many years conducting clinics and coaching riders of all ages, abilities and ambitions. She was the WA State Young Rider Dressage Coach in 1998-1999 and 2004-2005, founding the WA Dressage Young Rider Association (WADYRA) in 2006, where she coached until resigning in 2017 to focus on competing. Victoria continues to conduct workshops, demonstrations and lectures throughout Western Australia, and provide private lessons at her property in Sawyers Valley and on-line throughout the country.
In 2020 and 2021 Victoria developed the amazing Equest Connect program, which draws on all areas of her expertise and special interests/passions such as horse and rider biomechanics and neurolinguistic programming. Since the program compliments all coaching systems, methods and disciplines, Victoria is able to impart her knowledge to a wider audience of riders and help many more horses. It is all about riders easily developing amazing feel and balance, and improving communication with their horses at a level previously only obtainable by professional riders. |
